As Manager, Kim serves on numerous Oishei Children’s Hospital, county, regional, and state-wide committees, all focused on improving outcomes and services for young children in WNY. Kim received an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration. Prior to joining ECDC in 2016, Kim spent twenty-five years as a Preschool Director, a classroom teacher, a special education teacher, an Elementary School Principal, a High School Principal, and was an adjunct instructor for the Early Childhood Program at Villa Maria College.
Special Needs Educator
Stacie has been with ECDC for over fifteen years providing workshops and one to one support to families and professionals on Early Intervention, Preschool Special Education and disability topics. She has been a professional trainer in the field for more than 20 years. Stacie studied communications at SUNY Fredonia and is the mother of two sons, both of whom have special needs.
Special Needs Educator
Lauren has been with ECDC for the past four years. She is providing outreach, education and training to the six counties of WNY. She spent ten years working as a Special Education Teacher in various districts throughout WNY for grades K-8. She holds teaching certifications in Students with Disabilities (birth-2, grades 1-6) and Childhood Education (birth -2, grades 1-6). She is a Certified Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer for schools/ professionals (TCI) through Cornell University. Lauren received her BA in Childhood Education, Special Education and Spanish from St. John Fisher College of Rochester, NY. She received her MS in Exceptional Education at Buffalo State College. Lauren has two children, one of which has has special needs.
Special Needs Outreach Liaison
Ruth has worked for ECDC for over fifteen years and has had previous experience working with diverse populations in the community. Ruth provides information, support, and referrals to all parents, service providers and professionals contacting the Early Childhood Direction Center. She is out in the community connecting with families and professionals through outreach events and community meetings. Ruth has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo.
Child Development Inclusion Coordinator
Jennifer joined the Early Childhood Direction Center as the Child Development Inclusion Coordinator in June 2017. Through the Early Childhood Helpline she works closely with child care centers of all modalities and families providing strategies to support early identification of delays/disabilities, connection to services, accommodations and behavior supports. She also provides professional development to child care providers on a variety of topics. Jenn earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Buffalo State College and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education from the University at Buffalo. She has more than fifteen years of experience in the field of early care and education as a teacher, teacher educator, trainer, mentor, and program director.
